This year, Esil University celebrates its 25th anniversary. In honour of this significant milestone, a series of notable events were held that vividly reflect the university's achievements in the fields of science, infrastructure, and culture.
The first important event was the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Seitkasimov Readings — 2024." More than 100 participants, including prominent scholars and representatives of higher educational institutions from Kazakhstan and abroad, convened to discuss current academic issues. One of the highlights was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with Bahcesehir University (Northern Cyprus).
As part of the anniversary events, the International Scientific and Practical Conference — Global Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Natural Resource Governance — was held. Scholars from Indonesia, Latvia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Hungary, and Russia presented their research. The research presented at the conference will be published in leading scientific journals indexed in the Scopus database.
A ceremonial opening of named academic classrooms and laboratories took place at Esil University. The classrooms and laboratories were named in honor of distinguished scholars, including Gabdygapar Seitkasymov, Aldanish Nurumov, Sarsenghali Abdymanapov, and Sailau Baizakov. These high-technology spaces will create modern conditions for the study and research activities of students.
Additionally, a time capsule laying ceremony took place at the site of the future campus-standard dormitory for Esil University students. The new dormitory, designed to accommodate 500 residents, will be constructed with the support of the Turkish investor Matte Development & Construction LLP. Upon completion of the design phase, construction of the dormitory will commence, providing comfortable living conditions for both international and domestic students.
The results of the anniversary were celebrated at a formal event attended by distinguished guests: Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Chairman of the Committee for Social and Cultural Development of the Mazhilis of Parliament Askhat Aimagambetov, international partners, and university guests. During the event, faculty members and staff of Esil University were awarded medals and distinctions for their contributions to the development of science and education.
Thus, Esil University is drawing conclusions from its 25 years of operation, continuing to train highly qualified personnel in demand on the labour market and creating new opportunities for students.
