On 24 September 2024 at 11:00, a Tourism Relay "Techniques and Tactics of Active Tourism" was held on the campus of Esil University, with the participation of first- to fourth-year students of the Tourism educational programme. A total of 8 teams took part in the competition.
The relay race comprised several stages at which participants were required to demonstrate physical fitness, orienteering skills, and the ability to work as a team. The competitions were conducted under conditions approximating real tourist expeditions, which enabled students to apply their knowledge and skills in practice.
The event organizers noted the high level of preparedness of the participants, and special awards and prizes have been provided for the winners. The tourism relay race became an important event for students and once again underscored the significance of active recreation and sport in education.
This event afforded participants not only the opportunity to test their abilities and knowledge but also to gain a deeper understanding of the specifics of working under extreme conditions — an important aspect of training specialists in the field of tourism. For many students, this constituted significant experience that strengthened their aspiration to develop in their chosen field and to improve their skills in the area of active tourism.
