A University Tour with Students as Part of Career Week

On 23 April, as part of Career Centre Week, an excursion of the university was held for students of the educational programmes "Accounting and Audit" and "Statistics."

The event was organized with the aim of promoting the professional orientation of students and deepening their understanding of the requirements of their future profession. As part of the meeting, students interacted with the invited speaker — Fariza Tusumbekova, accountant at Ostin Kazakhstan, representing the Sportmaster brand.

The speaker shared her professional experience, discussing the specifics of working as an accountant-statistician in the commercial sector, the particularities of financial and statistical accounting, and emphasised the key qualities required of a successful specialist: attentiveness, responsibility, and a readiness for continuous learning.

The speaker paid particular attention to the requirements of the contemporary labour market: knowledge of specialised software, digital tools, and skills in communication and teamwork. Among the most frequently asked questions from students were: "What path is best for starting a career?", "What programmes does an accounting statistician need to know?", and "Where should one look for a first job or internship?"

Following the meeting, participants were taken on a tour of the university's academic buildings. Students visited laboratories, specialized classrooms, and resource centres, and learned more about the academic infrastructure and opportunities for professional and personal development at the university.
