A mas-wrestling championship — a national sport known as "stick pulling" — was held in the city of Zhezkazgan (Ulytau region). Approximately 100 athletes from across Kazakhstan participated in the competition.
Based on the tournament results, 1st-year student Kambar Nurgazin, enrolled in the "Legal Support of Economic Security" program at Esil University, placed 2nd in the under-80 kg weight category. This achievement earned him a berth at the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to be held in June 2025.
