Students Were Introduced to the Problem of Corruption

The tutors of the Department of Accounting and Audit — Aitkhozhin A.E., Mikhailina I.N. and Altynbekov M.A. — conducted a tutorial hour on the topic "Corruption as a Negative Phenomenon of Modern Society" for 2nd-year students of Group B. УиА 24/1 и Б Стат 24/1.

During the meeting, students were informed about the nature and types of corruption, its hallmarks and negative impact on society; the concepts of bribery, abuse of power, and academic integrity were discussed. Special attention was devoted to the principles of anti-corruption efforts: legality, transparency, honesty, and the responsibility of future professionals.

The tutors emphasised that preventing corruption is a personal responsibility of each individual, and that transparency and accuracy in accounting are particularly important for future accountants and statisticians. Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, received comprehensive answers, and familiarised themselves with educational slides on the topic.
