A round table on the theme "Sustainable Economic Development of Kazakhstan: Strategy, Challenges and Prospects" was held at Esil University on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Economics and Marketing, Alma Khairbuldinovna Galiyeva.

The round table brought together scholars from leading universities and research institutions of Kazakhstan, as well as faculty members, doctoral candidates, and master's students. Among the presenters were: Dr. (Economics) Abilda Alimbayev (Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz), Dr. (Economics) Zhamilya Bopieva (EBRD project "Regional Development of Kazakhstan"), Cand. (Economics) Aksana Panzabekova (Institute of Economics, SC of MSHE RK), Dr. (Economics) Aigul Toksanova (MITU, Almaty), Dr. (Economics) Gulnara Saparova (Turan-Astana University), Dr. (Economics) Shakharbanu Zhakupova (Institute of Economic Research), Dr. (Economics) Amina Musina (Esil University), Dr. (Economics) Kulsharia Shayakhmetova (Esil University), Cand. (Economics) Ainur Abilidina (Zhezkazgan University).
In their presentations, the scholars addressed a broad spectrum of issues: from global trends in innovative development and challenges of the agricultural sector to the role of small business in the green economy and matters of gender equality in employment. The round-table participants emphasised the importance of seeking new strategies for the sustainable development of Kazakhstan, as well as the role of science and education in training specialists for the economy of the future.
