The Department of Accounting and Audit at Esil University held a tutor hour dedicated to the prevention of stalking and the protection of personal boundaries.
The event was attended by PhD, Associate Professor Altynbekov M.A., PhD, Acting Associate Professor Uspambayeva M.K., as well as students from groups B-UiA 23/1R and B-EzhA 23/1K.
During the meeting, it was clarified that stalking is obsessive, repeated harassment causing anxiety and discomfort. Its principal signs, possible consequences, and the recommended course of action in such situations were discussed.
Students were advised to clearly establish personal boundaries, avoid supporting unwanted contact, preserve evidence, and seek assistance from trusted individuals. The importance of maintaining privacy on social networks was also emphasised.
