The lecture was delivered by Karatayev Didar Dautovich, Master of International Business in Tourism and Hospitality and Director of the Multi Path Education Centre. The event brought together university students and academic staff as well as representatives of the restaurant and hotel sector with an interest in practical business management approaches.
In the framework of the lecture, D.D. Karatayev spoke about modern strategies aimed at increasing profitability in the hospitality sector, drawing on his extensive experience in international markets. The lecturer emphasised the importance of conducting an in-depth analysis of the market and competitive environment for the successful development of a business. He explained that effective management requires taking into account the needs of clients, analysing their behaviour, and adapting services to current trends.
Karataev D.D. elaborated extensively on the optimisation of internal processes as a key element in improving profitability. The lecturer emphasised that the automation of management, the introduction of modern technologies, and the improvement of cost control enable enterprises to reduce operational costs and increase profits. Particular attention was devoted to the proper organisation of work with personnel, which, in the expert's view, is one of the decisive factors of success in the hotel and restaurant business.
One of the key themes of the lecture was customer experience management. Karatayev noted that creating unique and memorable experiences for guests contributes not only to client retention but also to their recommending the establishment to other potential clients. He cited examples of successful cases from his practice in which high service quality and personalization of services formed the basis for long-term client relationships.
The lecturer paid particular attention to marketing strategies for increasing revenue. In his presentation, he emphasised the importance of working with reviews, actively using social media for promotion, and engaging with customers. Karatayev noted that the success of a modern hotel or restaurant business largely depends on the ability to work with digital booking and sales platforms, which can significantly increase the occupancy rate and revenue of the establishment.
In addition, Karatayev Didar Dautovich addressed the topic of introducing innovations and sustainable development in the restaurant and hospitality industry. He emphasised that successful enterprises strive for continuous improvement and the adoption of new technologies, such as customer data management systems, service automation, and eco-friendly solutions. The lecturer noted that today's consumers increasingly choose companies that demonstrate a commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable development, which may also serve as a competitive advantage.
The lecture generated keen interest among the audience, with students and faculty actively asking questions and participating in discussions. Many noted that the information received would be valuable both for future professionals and for current industry practitioners seeking to adapt to market changes and improve their performance.
