Esil University hosted a round table seminar entitled "Problems and Challenges of Modern Business Education through the Eyes of International Experts," in which professors from the Cambridge University Business School served as speakers.
Also in attendance at the event were members of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of Esil University, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken," universities of the city of Astana, and employees of Esil University.
"For us, this is a unique opportunity to study the most advanced international experience and to apply it in practice. On the first day, together with our international colleagues, we conducted a foresight session on the development strategy of the university and business school. This is not a one-off initiative but merely the beginning of our cooperation with a world leader in business education. With the direct participation of our international colleagues, we will offer educational services customised to the requirements of learners, in accordance with international standards," said Rector Ayapbergen Taubayev.
Shahzad Ansari, PhD, Professor of Strategy & Innovation at the University of Cambridge, delivered a lecture on Strategy & Competitive Advantage, in which he examined in depth the current issues and questions at the present stage of business education development, taking into account global trends in management and the potential applications of artificial intelligence in addressing strategic challenges. The lecture was conducted in an interactive format, enabling participants to engage in active discussion with the professor, a world-renowned specialist. Shahzad Ansari noted that the meeting provided him with extensive insight into the activities of Kazakhstan's business schools and represented an excellent opportunity for developing international cooperation with Esil University.
Hamza Mudassir, Lecturer in Strategy at Judge Business School (University of Cambridge) and CEO of education technology company Strategize Inc., delivered a presentation on the topic of Redefining Disruptive Innovation, in which he demonstrated the high potential of simulation technologies in improving knowledge retention among learners compared to traditional forms of instruction. Such technologies are currently only being developed at leading global universities, but Hamza Mudassir proposed localising this educational platform for the future entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan at Esil University.
Based on the results of the round table seminar, strategic recommendations were developed for enhancing the attractiveness and competitiveness of educational programmes of Kazakhstani business schools at the international level, as well as for introducing modern digital platforms and learning technologies in business education.
