A Seminar on Elections Was Held at Esil University

On the eve of World Elections Day, a seminar-training on the topic "Development of the Electoral System of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held at Esil University.

At the seminar-training, N. Abishev, Chairman of the Territorial Election Commission of the «Baïkonyr» District of Astana, and A. Tuyakova, Chairwoman of Precinct Election Commission No. 134, delivered presentations in which they outlined the fundamental patterns underlying the development of the electoral system of independent Kazakhstan, which has confidently entered the world community on the basis of adherence to international electoral principles and standards in combination with national interests.

The purpose of this event was to explain the fundamentals of the electoral process and the innovations in electoral legislation, as well as to provide a clear understanding of, firstly, the principles of contemporary electoral law, and secondly, the electoral system in operation in our country.
