A mentoring session on the theme "Unity Is Strength" was conducted among first-year students of the Finance educational programme (Russian-medium instruction).
Gauhar Shakarimova, Sanzhar Urazgaliyev, and Albina Zullufi presented with a presentation and poster, informing those present that 1 May — the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan — is a symbol of peace, accord, and the shared destiny of all ethnic groups of the country. Kazakhstan is a space of intercultural dialogue where more than 150 peoples live in peace and mutual respect.
During the educational event, discussions were held across three teams, accompanied by a quiz. Students engaged in an interactive question-and-answer session on the themes of unity and the priority of values among today's youth.
The seminar participants concluded that Unity is a key condition for the stable development of society and the state . In the modern world, where processes of globalisation and cultural interaction are intensifying, it is especially important to maintain respect for the national traditions, languages, and values of all ethnic groups residing in Kazakhstan.
Thus, the educational event conducted contributed to developing in students a sense of patriotism, a respectful attitude towards representatives of other ethnic groups, and an active civic stance, which represent important objectives of modern education.
