A round table dedicated to the discussion of the draft new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at Esil University.
The discussion involved faculty members and staff of the university, as well as postgraduate students of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Doctor of Law, Professor of the Law Department at Esil University, Alpysbay Zhusupov, noted in his presentation that the new Constitution should strengthen the institutional foundations of Kazakhstan and enhance the protection of human rights.
Zhamaladen Ibragimov, Professor of the Department of Constitutional and Civil Law at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Doctor of Legal Sciences, emphasized that there will no longer be censorship in the field of higher education.
One of the speakers, Nurtay Imangaliev — Head of the Centre for the Judicial System and Law Enforcement Agencies of the Institute of Parliamentarism under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Legal Sciences, and Associate Professor — endorsed the position of the speakers, noting that the new Constitution promotes the strengthening of national unity and lays a solid foundation for its further development.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views, posed questions to the speakers, and discussed individual provisions of the draft.
