Esil University hosted the grand opening of the Myrzhakyp Dulatov Language Development Centre and the Ahmed Baitursynov Lecture Hall.
The event was dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan and the 140th anniversary of the birth of the poet, writer, and public figure Mirzhakyp Dulatov.
Members of the Majilis, state and public figures, writers, scholars, journalists, members of the Board of Trustees, and faculty members and students of the university participated in the event. Among them were: Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Beisengaliev, writer and playwright, Honoured Figure of Kazakhstan Tolen Abdikov, statesman and first Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Galym Baynazarov, poet and cultural figure Serik Turgyнbekov, statesman, journalist, and Academician of the Academy of Informatisation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Mynbay.
A plenary session with the participation of state and public figures was also held, receiving more than 50 reports on their legacy. In addition, a presentation of books by the writer and "Alash" Prize laureate Alim Kaisar took place; he donated 300 of his publications to the university library.
