The primary objective of the job fair is to assist unemployed citizens, graduates of educational institutions, and young people in finding employment through direct contact between employers and applicants.

Sultan Omirgaliyev, Head of the Department for Work with NEET Youth at the "Astana Zhastary" Youth Resource Centre, noted that holding such events is an important component of state policy in the area of youth support.

"The Head of State emphasised that the development of human capital and support for youth is the most important priority of our country. This year we are holding the third job fair. Previously, a large city-wide job fair for the unemployed was organised at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agro-Technical Research University and at the Barys Arena venue. And today, a job fair for third- and fourth-year students is being held at this educational institution," he stated.

According to Nazgul Akhmetzhanova, Head of the Civil Service Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in Astana, there are currently approximately 300 vacancies in the capital across the territorial departments of central executive bodies and local executive bodies.

"In Astana, local executive bodies have more than 70 vacancies, of which more than 50 are entry-level executive positions. There is an opportunity to employ young people in these vacancies, as no prior work experience is required for such positions. Civil service is a diverse field, and therefore any specialist has a strong chance of securing employment. The primary requirement is that all applicants pass a test on knowledge of legislation. Since 2023, in order to digitalise the selection stages for employment in state bodies and reduce the human factor, the portal www.eqyzmet.gov.kz has been established, encompassing 68 state bodies. All examinations will be conducted through this portal," explained N. Akhmetzhanova.

Employers included municipal institutions, companies such as JSC "NC "KTZ"", "Kazpost," and second-tier banks. During the fair, employers presented available vacancies within their organisations and had the opportunity to compile a database of the most suitable candidates. Job seekers communicated directly with HR managers, attended interviews, and posed questions of interest.
