A job fair for youth was held at Esil University in the capital. The event was organized by the city Department for Youth Policy, the MRC 'Astana Zhastary,' the city Center for Labor Mobility, and the university, as reported by the official website of the capital's Akimat.
The purpose of the fair is to facilitate employment for graduates of educational institutions and unemployed young people through direct contact between employers and job seekers.
"Approximately 500 persons visited the fair, the majority of whom were third- and fourth-year students who will soon become qualified specialists and require employment. More than 50 organisations — government institutions and commercial enterprises — presented their vacancies here. We organise such events on a regular basis. This is already the fifth such fair this year. Before the end of the year, we plan to hold one more fair, which will take place at Eurasian University," reported Assel Bolatkyzy, Head of the Department for Work with NEET Youth at MRC "Astana Zhastary".
Students noted the effectiveness of job fairs, which assist them in their future employment.
"I am studying in the fourth year in the specialisation 'Accounting and Audit' and intend to become an accountant. I already have experience working as an assistant accountant. Graduation is approaching, which gives one reason to think about the future. The fair is a good chance to find worthy employment, and the availability of choice here is also important," shared one student from the capital's university.
