A new modern dormitory accommodating 500 residents will be constructed on the territory of Esil University in Astana, сообщает city administration (akimat). Construction works are planned to commence in spring 2025.
"Today we are presenting the project for a new dormitory. According to the plan, the building will be five storeys with a total area of 6,600 square metres. The dormitory will have a total of 507 bed places. The basement will house a dining hall for 210 persons. The remaining floors will contain three- and four-bed rooms," the investor stated. Each floor will be equipped with laundry rooms, ironing rooms, a communal kitchen, and a common room. In addition, separate rooms are planned for students with special educational needs. The dormitory will be constructed under a public-private partnership project.
"The project has been incorporated into the city's master plan. Everything is ready for construction. Our dormitory will be of a modern campus type. First and foremost, this will attract international students who are accustomed to certain living standards. In 2024, it was planned to construct and commission 6 dormitories accommodating 4,500 residents in Astana under a public-private partnership framework. According to the city's akimat, some of the projects have already been completed. In addition, 2 more dormitories are to be commissioned in 2025.
