An Off-Site Class for Tourism Program Students at the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan

As part of practice-oriented education, second- and third-year students of the Tourism educational programme at Esil University visited the Presidential Centre of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana.

The objective of the session was to consolidate theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in the sphere of cultural-educational and domestic tourism. Students familiarised themselves with the activities of the Presidential Centre as a significant object of tourist infrastructure, and studied the specifics of organising museum exhibitions, excursion routes, and visitor services.

The class was conducted under the guidance of Senior Lecturer of the "Social Work and Tourism" Department, E.M. Amangueldi. During the excursion and discussion, learners analysed the facility from a professional standpoint and assessed its potential as an element of a tourism product.

The department plans to continue actively employing field classes to develop the practical competencies of future specialists in the tourism sector.
