A Meeting of Esil University Students with the Astana Police Department

A meeting was held at Esil University between students enrolled in the programmes of Information Technologies and IT and Data Protection, and representatives of the Operational and Forensic Department of the Department of Police of Astana.

The event addressed issues of cybercrime, which in the era of digital technologies encompasses a wide spectrum of threats — from the theft of personal data to the distribution of malicious software.

Representatives of the department informed students about career development opportunities in law enforcement agencies, the procedure for entering the service of the Internal Affairs Bodies, and the role of IT specialists in combating cybercrime. The meeting allowed students to gain a more detailed understanding of the prospects for applying their knowledge in the fields of information security and data protection.
