Students of ESIL UNIVERSITY were invited to a training seminar on the development of inclusive education and the implementation of the "1+2" model for supporting students with special educational needs, held at Eurasian National University. Students of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and faculty members of higher education institutions and colleges in Astana participated in the seminar. The following representatives attended from our university: Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work and Tourism — Burganova Roza Ildarovna; Senior Lecturer of the Department — Arystanova Zauresh Sakenovna; Director of the University's Scientific Library — Mustafina Sayran Yelubaevna; Head of the Student House — Dosmanova Raikhan Aubakirovna.
The programme speaker and Head of the ENU Inclusive Support Centre, Yaroslava Nikolaevna Kovaleva, noted that the development of inclusive education at higher education institutions across the country will help address a significant issue by ensuring every citizen's constitutional right to education. Inclusive education today is not merely the adaptation of learning and upbringing conditions to the needs of students with special educational needs — leading to successful socialisation, self-realisation, and personal and professional growth — but also a transformation of worldview and the spiritual advancement of society. ENU has established a Centre for Inclusive Education Support, which helps students overcome challenges, discover their abilities, and achieve success in their studies and in life. The university is not simply a place of study and work; it is a space where everyone can comfortably be themselves. Understanding how important it is to feel supported and confident, the university has created a "barrier-free environment." Lifts, accessible entrances, and thoughtfully organised spaces are only part of the care provided. Most importantly, the atmosphere is one of respect, assistance, and appreciation for every individual.
