Third-year students of the Tourism educational programme (Kazakh and Russian departments) at Esil University participated in an off-site practical training session held at the international hotel Beijing Palace Soluxe Hotel Astana.
The objective of the session was to consolidate practical skills, familiarise participants with the operational organisation of an international-standard hotel, and study guest service standards.
The field class was conducted under the supervision of Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social Work and Tourism, Master Muslimbekova M.A.
Students were personally received by Mukashev Dastan Zhansultanovich, Head of the Reception and Accommodation Departments as well as the hotel's Spa Complex. He conducted a tour of the facility, introduced the students to the operations of key departments, demonstrated the internal management structure, and responded to professional questions.
Participants also learned about staffing requirements, the corporate training system, internship opportunities, and current trends in hotel management.
The knowledge acquired will enable students to apply it when writing coursework and research papers, completing further internships, and when seeking employment in the fields of tourism and hospitality.
