A Mock Trial on a Money-Muling Case Was Held at Esil University

Прокуратура района Байқоңыр при участии начальника отдела Бегалдинова Рауана, старшего прокурора отдела Қазтұрған Ұлана, совместно с заведующим кафедрой "Право" к.ю.н. Калиевым А.К., старшим преподавателем Кубеновым Е.С. и студентами 2 курса университета ESIL провели симуляционный судебный процесс на тему дропперства среди молодежи.

During the event, participants simulated the examination of a criminal case related to the involvement of young people in unlawful schemes involving the use of bank accounts (so-called "dropping"). Under the guidance of prosecutors and the aforementioned faculty members of the Department of Law, students assumed the roles of prosecutor, defence counsel, and other participants in the judicial process, which enabled them to study in practice the specifics of court proceedings, the procedure for examining evidence, and the legal consequences of such offences.

Following the conclusion of the proceedings, a discussion was held in which clarifications were provided on matters of criminal liability for participation in illegal financial transactions, and the necessity of preventive work among young people was emphasised. Participants exchanged views and noted the relevance of the issue under consideration. The conduct of such events is aimed at enhancing students' legal literacy and fostering a sustained intolerance towards unlawful behaviour.
