On 21 November 2023, Zharlgasova Baglan Yerkinovna, Head of the Department of Academic Process Planning and Monitoring (DAPPM), conducted a training seminar for faculty members and heads of the educational programmes "Statistics," "Accounting and Audit," and other related fields.
The purpose of the event was to enhance the awareness and professional competencies of educational programme heads regarding the organization and implementation of joint educational programmes, including dual-degree programmes with international partner universities.
During the seminar, participants received clarifications on the key stages of establishing such programmes — from initiation and preparation of a memorandum of cooperation to the approval of curricula and the accreditation procedure. Special attention was paid to the requirements for programme content, the coordination of discipline volumes, the organisation of academic mobility for students and faculty, as well as matters of coordination with international partners.
Furthermore, successful examples of joint programme implementation in domestic and international practice were presented, typical errors and difficulties arising at the stages of design and implementation were analysed, and practical recommendations for overcoming them were provided.
The seminar was held in an active format with the opportunity to ask questions and discuss real cases, which facilitated a lively exchange of experience and strengthened interest in the development of international cooperation.
Following the event, participants expressed their gratitude for the information provided and emphasised the importance of conducting such educational events on a regular basis.
