PhD, Associate Professor of the "Social Work and Tourism" Department, Zhasуlan Sadykov, participated in the panel session on MICE tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by JSC "NC Kazakh Tourism."
Within the framework of the panel session, issues related to the development of MICE tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the MICE Tourism Ambassador Programme were discussed. Presentations by Kalmurzayeva D.Sh. of Astana Development Centre LLP on the topic "Development of MICE Tourism in the City of Astana" were also delivered.
MICE is an acronym that encompasses four core areas of events: Meetings — corporate meetings and events; Incentives — incentive or motivational tours; Conferences — conferences, congresses, conventions, forums, seminars, and so on; Exhibitions — trade shows and exhibitions.
Ainura Turezhanova, Head of the MICE Tourism Department of the Almaty Tourism Bureau, delivered a presentation on the topic "Development of MICE Tourism in the City of Almaty." In addition, a Ceremony for the Appointment of MICE Tourism Ambassadors of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held.
