Priorities of Budget Policy and National Economic Sustainability Were Discussed

The faculty members of the Department of Finance, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Economic Policy and Sustainable Development of Kazakhstan: Science, Law-Making, and Practice" dedicated to the 60th anniversary of distinguished economist and public figure, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Berik Tursynbekovich Beisenggaliyev, organised and chaired a section session on the topic "Financial System, Fiscal Policy, and the Stability of the National Economy."

Within the framework of the section meeting, key aspects of the functioning of the financial system, priority directions of fiscal policy, and mechanisms for strengthening the resilience of the national economy amid global challenges and structural changes were examined. Participants paid particular attention to issues of public debt management, fiscal regulation, the digitalisation of the financial sector, and the role of public finances in ensuring socio-economic development.

Reports were delivered by faculty members of the Department of Finance, doctoral candidates and master's students of the "Finance" educational programme, presenting the results of scientific research and analytical materials on current directions in financial science. In the course of the discussion, issues of improving the efficiency of budgetary expenditure, strengthening financial discipline, and forming sustainable sources of economic growth were addressed.

The session was held in a constructive and scientific-practical atmosphere, facilitating an exchange of views and the formulation of recommendations for improving the financial policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
