The National Bank of Kazakhstan Is Issuing New 2024-Design 10,000 Tenge Banknotes into Circulation.

The National Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter — NBK) has been issuing banknotes with a face value of 10,000 tenge of a new design, model 2024, into circulation since June 28, 2024.

This is the second banknote from the new "Saka Style" series. It is based on elements of the "Saka Style," which is considered the progenitor of traditional Kazakh ornamentation and reflects the country's heritage — from the unique culture of the nomads to modern Kazakhstan.

These banknotes will enter mass circulation in September 2024, as additional time is required to deliver them to all regions of the country and to adapt the equipment (ATMs, terminals, and other cash-handling devices).the design and form of the monetary sign

The Colour of the Banknotes is Blue-Violet.

The front side depicts:

On the reverse side, against the backdrop of a shield adorned with stylised ornament, a snow leopard is depicted. Behind the main image is a circular Kazakh ornament. It symbolises the ideas of:

"Shield" – symbolizes the protection of values, an ancient symbol – the four cardinal directions, the solar symbol at the center is a symbol of creative energy and life. On the reverse side of the banknote there is also an artifact — the head of a snow leopard with griffins in its mouth (Berel burial mounds, "Valley of the Kings," 8th–7th centuries BCE, East Kazakhstan Region, a decorative element symbolizing determination and strength). In the center of the banknote, as a background, is the outline of the Kazakh ornament "infinity," within which a landscape view of the Zailiysky Alatau mountains is depicted.
