The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, pursuant to Article 31 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Science and Technological Policy" and sub-item 148) of item 15 of Resolution No. 580 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 19 August 2022, announces a competition for science awards and state academic scholarships (hereinafter — the Competition).
Awards in the field of science and state scientific scholarships were established by Order No. 389 of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated 4 August 2023 ( https://adilet.zan.kz/rus/docs/V2300033264 ):

In accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the submission of works for science awards and state scientific scholarships is carried out by the Non-Commercial Joint-Stock Company "National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan." в течение 30 (тридцать) calendar days from the date of publication of this announcement.
For the Competition for the Award of awards in the field of science the following documents are to be submitted:
1) scholarly works in the form of monographs, chapters in monographs, articles, patents, and copyright certificates (no more than five);
2) a description of the work (not exceeding half a printed page), setting out its content, relevance, and novelty of research, the main scientific results, their significance, and the possibility of further application;
3) an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the advisory body of the organization that nominated the work;
4) A certificate from the primary place of employment of the award nominee;
5) a brief description of the scientific activities of the award candidate, indicating their creative contribution (for collaborative works);
6) a certificate from the organisation that nominated the work, confirming that the work (series of works) submitted for the competition has not previously been awarded prizes paid from the republican budget;
7) a copy of the implementation act (if available);
8) notification of the active twenty-digit current account in the card database.
For the Competition for the Award of state scientific scholarships the following documents are submitted in the field of science:
1) a motivated petition (recommendation) of the consultative and advisory body of the organisation;
2) a certificate from the primary place of employment of the candidate applying for a state scientific scholarship;
3) a list of the scientific publications of the candidate for the state scientific scholarship over the past five years, as well as reprints of the most significant ones (no more than five);
4) a copy of the implementation act (if available);
5) notification of the active twenty-digit current account in the card database.
