A state of emergency has currently been declared in the Abai, Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, and Ulytau regions.
All resources of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been mobilised in the fight against flooding. Last week, a cargo vehicle carrying humanitarian aid for the residents of Arkalyk, Amangeldy, and Zhangeldy was dispatched. Next week, a second cargo vehicle will be sent.
