Artificial Intelligence and the Labor Market: A Round Table at the Department of Management

Within the framework of the Department of Management Week, a round table was held with the participation of employers on the theme "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Labour Market: Analysis of Opportunities and Challenges for Youth in the Context of Digital Transformation." The event was organized within the framework of the department's grant projects and was devoted to changes in the contemporary labour market and issues of professional adaptation of youth.

The roundtable was addressed by Aibek Imashev, Doctor and Associate Professor. In his presentation, he focused on how the development of artificial intelligence is affecting the labour market, emphasised the importance of digital competencies, and underscored the need for future specialists to adapt to new economic conditions. The distinguished guest of the event was Aidyn Imashev, Chief Manager of the Security Service at Kazakhtelecom JSC. He provided a comprehensive overview of the specifics of implementing artificial intelligence in the telecommunications sector, addressed issues of information security, and shared practical experience regarding current labour market requirements.

Master's students participated in the meeting; A. Malykhinа and V. Akulinin presented their reports dedicated to the potential of youth in the labour market, the development of digital competencies, and opportunities for professional growth. During the discussion, participants emphasised the importance of adapting educational content to the needs of the labour market in the context of digital transformation, the necessity of continuous improvement of professional skills, and the stimulation of young people towards innovative thinking.

The round table was held in an interactive format, providing a platform for open exchange of views among graduate students, undergraduates, faculty members, and employers. At the conclusion of the event, participants particularly noted the relevance of training responsible and adaptable professionals in the era of the digital economy.
