A master class on the topic "Social Work in Healthcare" was held at Esil University for lecturers of the "Social Work and Tourism" department, conducted by Senior Lecturer Savvin Yegor Viktorovich.
The objective of the event was to provide participants with an understanding of the practical algorithm governing the work of social workers in the healthcare system.
During the master class, instructors familiarised themselves with the areas of activity of social workers and the stages of interaction with patients aimed at improving social, psychological, and legal assistance; studied the structure and operational algorithm of specialists in medical organisations; and examined the legislative framework and regulatory documents governing social work in healthcare. They also received information on modern methods of patient engagement, including psychosocial support, work with special groups, and family accompaniment, as well as the accreditation procedure for social workers and requirements for professional training.
The master class served as a platform for sharing experience, discussing practical cases, and introducing new approaches into the educational process. Faculty noted the relevance of the topic and the practical value of the event for improving the quality of training of future specialists in the field of social work.
