The International Conference ‘Seitkasymov Readings 2025’ Was Held at Esil University

An international conference titled "Seitkasymov Readings – 2025" was held at Esil University. The conference was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Gabdygapar Seitkasymov.

During the event, particular attention was devoted to the issues raised in the Address of the Head of State. The central emphasis of the conference was placed on practice orientation: not only theoretical aspects were discussed, but also specific ways of applying academic research in economics and governance.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Member of the Mazhilis Berik Beisengaliev and First Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galym Bainazarov. The plenary session featured representatives of state bodies and the scientific community of Kazakhstan, among them Olzhas Kizatov (Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market), Altai Zeinelgabdin (Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan), Aliya Baigenzhina (Treasury Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan), and Zhanybek Nurzhanov (State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

In the international segment, foreign experts took the floor: Professor Stanisław Łunewski (Poland), Professor He Xiaofan (China), Professor Galina Turban (Belarus), Professor Guo Shuhong (China), and Associate Professor Almazbek Dooranov (Kyrgyzstan), focusing on issues of sustainable development and the exchange of experience in the fields of finance and education.

As part of the conference, a presentation was held of new academic publications edited by Member of the Majilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Berik Beisengaliev: the textbook "Fundamentals of Improving Financial Literacy of the Population" and the monograph "Consumer Lending and Risk Mitigation Measures."

— Today's conference clearly demonstrates that science and practice are inseparable concepts. As part of the conference, more than 250 scholarly papers were presented and topical issues raised in the Address of the Head of State were discussed. We hope that the research and new ideas of our scholars will find application in the fields of economics and management. We extend our sincere gratitude to our Kazakhstani and international colleagues who were willing to share their experience, — noted the Rector of Esil University, Ayapbergen Taubayev.

Following the plenary session, the conference proceedings continued across sections organised by the departments of Esil University. Topics included the development of Kazakhstan's financial and economic system, the digitalisation of education, fiscal and budgetary policy, and new directions in international academic cooperation.
